This home page is dedicated to our new RIB called Gato Di Mare. The boat was bought from Italy in March 2005.
This is a small SLIDE SHOW link of the day we went to finilise a few things at MAR.CO's factory in Milano during March 2005
The RIB is a MAR.CO 25 Cabinato and it has some history associated with it. The boat was constructed by MAR.CO in 2003 specialy to made the trip from Italy to Paris via the Bay of Biscay. Giovanni Bracco a famous adventurer in Italy was the navigator of the boat during that trip. For more information look at GATO DI MARE IN PARIS
Is all in Italian and you need a translator if you do not speak the language.
Currently the boat is under refit at MAR.CO factory in Italy and will be delivered in Greece begining of July 2005.
15/06/2005 ... The new propeller has arrived is a Yamaha SALTWATER SERIES II 15 1/4 x 17. Can't wait to put it on the boat and test it!

THE MAP OF OUR LITTLE ADVENTURE IN JULY 2005 IN GREECE
POROS ..... and island we will N E V E R G O again!! Unfriendly, dirty, expensive and in general the wrost place in Greece we've been so far!
MILOS
Here is a video link from one of our trips. This video was taken when we were visiting Milos or otherwise known as the island of Afrodite
And a few photos from POLONIA Harbour, Milos Island. Gorgeous place and we will go again!!
Morning coffee with the BAT
Sailing in to KLEFTIKO
RIB Convoy
The crew!
LOUTRA KITHNOS
We stayed in a small hotel called PORTO CLARAS. The palce was very clean had air con and even hair dryer!! The room (they called it a suit) which accomodated 4 (2 in a double bed room and 2 in two single beds in the sitting room) cost 120 euro per night. I think quite reasonable considering how expensive Greece has become after the introduction of the Euro (in Hydra 2 toasts with ham and cheese and 2 coffees 25 Euros!!!)
A slide show with various photos from our holidays
Early November and work comitments brought me to Greece. I stayed over a couple fo weekends and took GATO DI MARE out in the open sea again. A friend also came with me to fish and although he did not catch anything we got a nice video from his free dives. Enjoy
I also took some photos
1st of May 2006 a quick weekend trip to Greece and outing with some good fridns. The weather had not been kind but the company is what matters the most.
End of August 2006 we came back from our summer holidays a few weeks ago. Some photos and our story will follow in a few days. Keep checking the site
Also I will be going to see the RED SEA RIB RALLY 1-10 Sept 2006 and a report and photos will follow too.
To be continued with some more details and photos from the other islands we visited ..............
June 25th and I am on my own in Greece cleaning the house, preparing the boat and waiting for the family to arrive.
Weekend is coming and the wather is brilliant. So I decided since it was also bank holiday to take the boat out for four days and stay on it for the first time to see how it feels. I decided to go to Kithnos and to stay at some small coves I knew.
The weather was great and the views even greater.
I made some good friends
My impression for staying and cooking on our RIB was that it can be quite comfortable for four people but up to 4 days maximum. After that I think it may become a little unconfortable. For one or even a couple is great and you can have a 30 day holiday even without wanting to go to land.
The family arrived on the third of July and we got the boat ready again for a 150 miles trip.
We were going to visit Skopelow and possibly the north Sporades if the weather and time permited.
Finally a bright sunny morning at the begining of July we started our small boating adventure in the deep blue crystal clear greek waters.
We motored for an hour or so to Petalious in Evia where we met up with a good friend and stayed over for a light lunch
Time passed quickly and we said our good byes and left South Evia and Nimporio keeping a Northerly course.
The weather was perfet and we reached Chalkis.
Paasing the new high bridge and a few minutes later on pasing under the tidal waters of the second lower and much older bridge.
We stayed at Chalkis overnight. The family in a small hotel and my self on the boat. The following morning a rainy and windy, although the temperature was not very cold. We decided to leave ASAP and get to the the north of Evia and in North Evoikos Gulf where the weather was forcasted to be better.
The kids couldn't last for long and went to sleep in the cabin where my self and Joanna motored allong.
Finally we arrived near Oreous and at a little port called Glyfa where we mored for a while. Had a swim and lunch. Early in the afternoon we took the anchor in and started our 30-40 miles to Skopleos. Pasing pagasitikos Gulf.
We arrived in Skopelos and at ADRINA HOTEL where we would stay for the next 9 days. Enjoy the photos.
By the way our room was fantastic with two bedrooms, great views and a huge veranda as you ca see above.
The time passed quickly and we had to leave. We returned back in force 6 winds.
We sttayed a couple of days at our summer house in Sounion. While I was servicing the boat and made it raedy for another small trip around the cyclades and namely Kithnos, the small port of Loutra for a few days at Klaras Hotel again.
enjoy the photos.
Until it was time to end a SUPER time in Greece this summer.
Here is some videos from our holidays in 2006

Today 2nd Feb 2006 I had the BEST AFTER SALES SERVICE from TEFLEX in the USA. Namely Marc from the Technical department. I thank them very much and I recomend their products 100%. Is the ONLY company that I met so far after my boat builders MAR.CO that have an excellent after sales service!!!
